Royce White - Mr. Basketball

Ken Lien just announced on WCCO radio that White was named Mr. Basketball for 2009. Hard to argue with the choice. Best of luck to Royce going forward, except of course for a couple games each season.

From the article:

A tireless worker with shut-down skills on defense, the 6-foot-7 White led the undefeated Royals in scoring at about 16 points per game.

He will take his size and athleticism to the University of Minnesota next season.

Maybe not the most valuable player based on how his team would fare without him, but certainly the best player in the state. Great choice.
