Ross to UConn

I did not see that coming, his other offers were a bit underwhelming when he committed to Minnesota.

Could be wrong but I read this as UCONN "we are set, we got Karaban back but it cost us a lot, we don't have a lot of time or money, so getting a 3* who helps us with his brother, call it a win" I don't think he goes there had his brother Karaban etc arent back

I'm sure his brother being on the team doesn't hurt but I don't picture UCONN as a team that burns scholarships on guys that can't play out of sentimental value. Historically the Gophers always offered the crappy older brother hoping the younger star brother would follow. Seeing UCONN and Gonzaga wanting Ben's recruits is eyebrow raising nonetheless.

This one feels odd to me. I think it is more to keep his older brother happy but not sure. I wasn't bummed when he decommitted and I'm still not, just more so confused.

The rules are moving to 15 scholarships with no walk ons. Many coaches don't want 15 guys who expect playing time on their team. Ben didn't use all 13.
