With sorrow, I share the news that Ron Risvold, my Brother, best friend, and life long Gopher Fan passed away peacefully Monday afternoon after a long battle with cancer. May he now be at peace. We will miss you at the games this fall Ronnie. Thank you for all of the love you shared with so many. We are better people for having known you.

Love,
Steve Risvold

Steve, This is Joe who sits in front of you with my brother Adam and our girlfriends Nicki and Kim, the fun people. I am very sorry to hear about your brother. I remember you telling me about him at the goalline club tent last season. I really wish I could've meet him as he was too sick to get to games. I enjoyed hearing stories about Ron and sharing in some laughs. I know he was a huge Gopher fan and GopherNation is worse off today. I believe one particular story that I remember about Ron was his experience with Coach Brew and how much it meant to Ron and how down-to-earth and supportive Coach Brew was to him. We all joined the Goalline club this year so I know we will be privileged to hear more about Ron's love and passion for the Gophers and his tough battles.

My best wishes to you and your family. We'll see you soon Steve.

Steve,

This is a sad day for you and sad day for Gopher football. It's been a tough year for you and your family, but know that your Gopher family is here for you.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, Steve.

You have to remember, if given the opportunity, Ron would NOT trade his spot for the upcoming season...for anything.
He will have the best vantage point of all!

He was fortunate to have a brother like you.

You will be with him again...

Take care and God bless,
ConferenceChamp

Sorry to hear about your loss. I've lost a couple of family members recently who just happened to be the only other Gopher fans in my family-I'm very much alone in that category now. It's amazing how important the connection to the Gophers were for us. Again, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss.

Steve, we are so very sorry for your family's loss. God bless you all.

Hey steve

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I will be thinking of you and your family.

Very sorry to hear that. I see every game with my brother. Please accept our prayers and condolences.

Steve, really sorry to hear this news. My sympanthy to your family.

Rob

My sympathies to you...

Having had a similar experience last year when I lost my best friend, my confidant, my wife and my lifelong partner and Gopher fan to cancer, I understand completely...

Her next favorite team was USC, so I know she is going to be watching from her vantage point that day!

Peace be with you!
