On FBT's blog, he mentioned that Bush and Rohr were told that they could possibly switch positions.

I wonder where they are thinking with these two guys. Rohr is kind of surprising because we will need to add some more TEs (both Lair and Eure are SRs), but I guess he could make sense at DE or H-Back.

Bush....DT?

I also think there is going to be more positional switches than most of us think.

The coaches reportedly are talking about moving Rohr to H-back and Bush to TE.

In the Kill/Limegrover system, the TE is primarily a blocker--almost like another OT, but quicker. At 6-3, 223, Rohr would be physically overmatched at TE. Right now Bush weighs about 275 and runs a 5.0 40-yard dash. Could be an ideal TE.

Hmmm....that's interesting.

If they are willing to move Bush to TE, I wonder if they are also willing to move Hageman back to TE (he supposedly doesn't like defense).

He may have to slim down to play tight end.

That's what I thought too, but if Foster Bush is going to be moved to TE (he is already 275), than I'd imagine Hageman could play there too. It is probable that Bush would put on some weight in college and get to about where Hageman weighs.

5.0 Isn't going to play TE in the big ten.

If you can legitimately run a 5.0 40 when you're a 17/18 yr old Sr in HS, you are fast enough to play TE.

Most TEs who get drafted, after years of maturation, run between a 4.8 and a 4.9 (many of them are close to 5.0).

I don't think Bush will play TE, but someone who runs a 5.0 40 at his age would be fast enough to play TE.

What he said. It's not like he has to have blazing speed so he can score 80 yard touchdowns. It will give the coaches some versatility in their play calling... more of a chain-mover, something we could use.
