per the Post Bulletin:

Saturday is another golden opportunity for the University of Minnesota football team to show fans it is progressing toward its goal of becoming a competitive Big Ten Conference team.

Last weekend, they didn't deliver, despite what the scoreboard said after the blowout win over UNLV. Mistakes were plentiful on both sides of the ball. Arguably the most disturbing issue was the lack of progress from QB Philip Nelson. He completed just 10 of 22 pass attempts. That's not acceptable for a Division I QB.

Go Gophers!!

I like they way they heap praise on the Gophers week after week.

I'm getting the feeling the Post Bulletin writers are under the impression Reusse is the hiring manager at the Strib.

Belly laugh in that one. Did they watch the game and see at least one I can recall dropped ball

It looks like someone is angling for a job at the Sun Sailor.

Here is clue did you SEE the 99 yard kickoff return? Oh, I am sorry you missed that. How about Hageman splitting two lineman and blocking a field goal, and get this he actually pushed the ball out of the pile and we returned for 6. And all night, UNLV threw the slant. Body jumped the slant and picked the ball off for 6. Now you probably missed Nelson hitting Williams just before half time for 6. Did you SEE Nelson run 50 yards for 6? Or his bootleg on the goal line for 6? Or Leidner on a read option for 6? Did you see that? I didn't think so, I would offer that the Bulletin did send anyone to Minneapolis who could SEE what happened, rather looked at a box score and made up this story. One more think take your eyes off the box score, and look at the Scoreboard.
