per the Post Bulletin:

FELDY: Maryland is one of those teams that is similar to the Gophers. The Terps' record doesn't look great, but doesn't look terrible. Statistically, they look better than they are, and they're a team that every opponent feels like they can or should beat. If the Gophers can't win this weekend, we have to start questioning not only Claeys' job security, but whether or not this team will even play in a bowl game. After the way the offense has performed in the past two weeks, there's no such thing as a gimme on their schedule.

PHERSY: Well Feldy, they won't be favored. Maryland's offense is very good, and QB Perry Hills is solid. However, Hills suffered an injury last week against Penn State, and the Terps struggled mightily without him. If his shoulder injury keeps him out this week, that'll be huge for the Gophers. Either way, I'm not counting on a Minnesota win, but as you said Feldy, it's a victory Claeys needs if he's going to keep his job. They'll get a favorable matchup against lowly Rutgers the following week, so there is an opportunity to gain some momentum. But, everyone, from top to bottom, including the coaching staff, must be better if this team is going to contend in the Big Ten and regain the trust of Minnesota fans.
