PHERSY: Absolutely. There's no reason this team can't be as good or better than last year's squad. The Gophers have a tough schedule, yet many of their toughest games will be at TCF Bank Stadium. Mitch Leidner is the key to the offense at this point. If he improved as a passer in the offseason, the offense has enough weapons and experience to compete in every game this season. Fellow Gophers rube Pat Ruff doesn't have much faith in running back Rodrick Williams. Are you with him, Feldy?

The point that Kill feels confident in his RB options is quite astute. The more weapons we can have on the field at the same time, the more effective this offense will be.

And like you Feldy, I believe Kill wouldn't have moved Jones if he wasn't confident in the other backs. Williams and Edwards seem like they would complement each other perfectly.
