Minnesota's new offensive line coach, Ed Warinner, doesn't have any doubt that Connelly will be up to the task. He says that Connelly has pretty much everything you'd want in an offensive tackle.
The size is there, the athleticism, and the smarts, says Warinner.
"Nick Connelly is a very talented young man; he's got a lot of physical gifts," said Warinner, who had been Ohio State's offensive line coach from 2012-15, before becoming its offensive coordinator last year.
"He's also worked hard to develop his skills. He really came a long way in the spring, then made another push this summer. He should be our starting right tackle."
