First, my apologies to MikieS. Turns out that while he is still in first place for the NIU prediction, it's a tie. And, because the other prediction is actually closer to the Gopher's actual score, MikieS doesn't get his name added to the Roll Call of Honor.
Instead, the winner of the NIU Predict the Score competition is WiscBearsFan17 who predicted a 92-51 Gopher win ... just six points away from the actual score and only three points away from the Gopher's actual score (89-48). (That's the first tie-breaker ... MikieS also was just six points off the actual score but had it 85-50).
Here's what happened: I overlooked nine projections that were made between 1PM Monday until sometime before 7PM. (I'm not sure how that happened, but going back and looking at the projections that were included, those nine that were missed fell into that time period.) Clearly operator error. ...
The nine whose projections were overlooked are (in chronological order): mom8pop, figi, Gopher737, wiscbearsfan17, howeda7, Ski U Mah , sandiegopete, mlf89, rccola889. I discovered the error when WiscBearsFan17 told me his prediction was "forgotten."
