One year ago, Minnesota was 7-1 heading into the Northwestern game. We know how that game ended on a sour note and how the Gophers lost their last four games as well as the Insight Bowl.

Hopefully the Gophers can reverse last year's finish and previous year trends of playing poorly in November. It may be difficult, but three of the four remaining games are at home and, IMO, all three are winnable, especially Illinois and South Dakota State. The game at Kinnick, obviously, will be difficult but not out of the realm of an upset.

Take care of the ball, no bonehead mistakes (focus), and play with emotion/passion and some good things can come the Gophers way. Make the other team beat you, don't give them any gifts. It's up to the coaches to prepare the team and the players to execute. A golden opportunity is in front of them and four more regular season wins would make this a memorable season, and a very good bowl berth.

Hopefully the fans that can attend tonight's game will play a pivotal role in making the new stadium a decided home field advantage for the Gophers.

Go Gophers!!

We must be in a parellel universe. It was interesting when Decker got injured last year we had played about the same number of games as this year. Last year we went downhill after Deckers injury, hopefully this year we can reverse the trend.
