Two things have to happen for Tubby to be back. First, selection committee has to be moronic enough to take these clowns ...

... Second, clowns have to floppy-shoe way to 2 wins in NCAA and reach Sweet 16. Otherwise, Tubby's gone. Guaranteed.

He just needs to shut up. He knows they will make it in of he even pretends to understand the selection process. He may be right that we need two wins, but to say it the way he did stinks.

@GoodmanCBS: Minnesota lost to Illinois. Tubby's hot seat continues to get warmer and warmer.

Reusse is 10000% accurate irregardless if it is opinion or if he is stating fact.

I think most people agree.
I think he's trying to get reaction, but the "Guaranteed" part makes you think he knows something.

I'd give it more weight if he hadn't had a hot tip 2 years ago about Dean Blais replacing Lucia. Seems his U sources might not be the best.

its just regardless - not irregardless - a Johnnie should know that

Nobody should ever make the mistake of thinking Reusse actually knows something, he is a bitter old man and just tries to draw as many reactions as he can by making stupid comments.

Merciful Jesus, I'm done with Orlando already. Friggin' fire his sorry butt!!

This season has just been an EPIC collapse. So tired of the same thing year after year after year after year...

Reusse probably heard someone from a booster to that effect. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get chosen. There's always a first time for everything. In 1996 we had a winning conference record and we were all like no way we don't get in because every big 10 team since expansion of the tournament had made it with a winning conference record. But lo and behold we did not. I don't remember why exactly but it was a shock. The committee might just think another team is more deserving.

Reusse now predicting Flip will be the coach next year for 1.5 mill per year. On espn1500

"He's made plenty of money he will come here without a shovel in the ground for practice facility.

The Barn will be empty next year if Tubby is still the coach."

@GoodmanCBS: Intel. RT @RHancock19: Based upon? RT @GoodmanCBS Minnesota lost to Illinois. Tubby's hot seat continues to get warmer and warmer.

LOL. That is a "word" that has always bothered me. Regardless is without regard so if I add a negative to that, irregardless should then mean with regard. Am I doing my math right ?

I wasn't a fan of Flip earlier in the year, but now I'd take him. Hopefully he could salvage the 2014 class. His NBA experience would probably be enough to keep our key players and attract top local 2015 talent.

Tubby did a horrible job of recruiting again this year. The only saving grace would be if we got Schilling from Frinlay Prep, but I see little chance of that happening. The cupboard is empty for next year with the lone exception of Andre. Who is playng ourt of position, becuase Tubby wouldn't recruit a point guard? How is Chambers doing @ Harvard he lead them to the dance as a true freshman. Do you think he might be a little better than Maverick! This was our season to do something 9th place in the big ten. I couldn't image this at the begining of the year.

After the initial bump in the program in Tubby's first two years, the program seems to be in a gradual decline, where will the program be in a couple of years, I am really concerned that we might have Penn State type talent on a team that regresses, that could really get ugly.

This team will struggle to replace Trevor. He is the one player that they will truly miss. Rodney will also be tough with his athletic play and defense, but he has just tanked the second half of the season. Perhaps a wing like Buggs who can shoot better than Rodney will help. If they are able to sign Schilling, then the team could actually finish better than 8-10. It will also help to have a better option off the bench at guard in Ellis. Hope that Foster and Ellenson see more minutes than Oto too.

Explain your confusion. The Gophers did not finish in 9th place in the Big Ten this year. I'm not sure wherein your confusion lay.

9th seed = 9th place

The only people that recognize ties are the people who lose the tiebreakers to conference champ because it makes them feel better and the Big Ten does this ridiculous thing of crowning co-champions. Co-champions? That is a croc in itself.

9th seed = 9th place

Not factually correct.

Also not factually correct.

Your opinion. Not fact.

Despite your inherently Minnesotan self-loathing, the Gophers finished in 7th place in conference this year. THAT is a fact. I'm not interested in your opinionated interpretation of what the facts are. I'm interested in what the actual facts are.

If it makes you feel better. Do you also tell people that we were only 6 wins from winning the championship this year?

My feelings are irrelevant. Again, I'm interested in the facts - nothing more, nothing less. Shoulda-woulda-couldas are also of zero interest to me.

Okay, well of the teams we "tied" with we went 1-2 against Illinois and 0-1 against Purdue this season. I think that warrants a 9th place label.

Theres absolutely no reason anyone should back Tubby right now... Or ever. What an awful job he's done with such a promising team this year.

Good luck launching your fundraising push with the Master Facilities Plan if he is the coach.

Good luck recruiting the Big Three with a lame duck coach.

Good luck selling tickets if he stays.

Nice guy, great career. No way he stays.
