Reusse: Ousted coach dodges brutal Buckeyes blowout

Patrick's my guy... but can't agree on Gray or Alipate being ruined more so than being helped... the defense and special teams are bigger reasons for this team's struggles than the offense... the O-line has been better this year... McKnight, Lair, Eure, and a move of Stoudermire back to WR would give Gray some options to throw to... a QB change should be made.

Hey Doogie, next time you talk to Patrick could you please inform him that he doesn't have to start EVERY column with "Back in 1967, this happened ..." An historical look at things is great, but I mean EVERY column of his tries to link or compare something from 3 decades ago to today. I love history, but its like he has a template for his writing that he uses every time and just fills in new details.

This team could go 11-1 next year and Ruesse will write an article blaming Brewster's recruiting for the 1 loss.

Totally agree. More than half of his columns spend at least half of the copy talking about something from decades ago, most of the "before the turn" (re: going past the first page) don't even talk about the present time. Over and over he does this, and it takes a good 10-12 paragraphs before he starts writing about the present and his thesis. I don't understand it, and I can't imagine that the majority of readers stick with his entire column and probably don't make it past "the turn."

Go Gophers!!
