I just don't get him. I just don't.

-Does he think it is his duty to squash any enthusiasm?
-Is he just trying to get to defeatist MN readers by playing the "hold your horses" card?
-Is he just a coward who is afraid to say that he believes in anything?
-Does he want to appear like a hardass by saying "prove it!" to everything?
-Is he just trying to set up the "I told you so" column for if things don't work out with Kill?

Reusse just seems like a miserable person.

He seemed to write and say everything positive about Kill at the beginning and now feels everyone praising Kill, so he had to write a devil's advocate opinion. He loves to get a charge out of readers. He knows that over 95% of people reading are strong fans and see things in a positive light for their team, so he writes a lot of devils advocate opinions.

I look at him as a baseball guy trying to get through the winter.

This is his schtick. He is a Minnesota Paul Finnebaum. He knows he gets more readers and listeners by pissing people off. He might believe what he is saying sometimes or even most of the time. But he always finds a way to take it a little over the top to get the extra attention.
