We all have our opinions about Coach Kill and whether he will exceed or not. I personally believe the answer to that questions can be best found by looking at how and why he does what he does. The following link does the best job I've seen in explaining what Jerry Kill is all about:

So...he took quotes from other articles, about people who aren't Coach Kill, and made it seem like they were talking about Coach Kill.

I normally like MV and his work, but that's extremely shoddy. The truth is that 99% of all fan bases are going to think those attributes apply to their coaches. This means nothing.

And then noted several times that he did so and why he did it. It's not like he passed them off as actually being from Kill. Not sure what you're concerned about.

Very, very true. But many of those coaches won't actually posses them. Evidence seems to indicate that Kill does. That means nothing in terms of whether he'll succeed here or not of course. It's just another source of optimism.

I'm not concerned; I just think that's a really poor argument construction. Shoddy doesn't imply deception. If you honestly break down what he's trying to do, I don't see how anyone could come to a different conclusion.

It's also probably worth noting that we likely had a chance to hire Paul Chryst, and that was overwhelmingly poorly received on here for being a "Wisky-lite" strategy.
