per the Reporter-Herald:

Not just big, but fast.

That's how Colorado State offensive coordinator and line coach Will Friend describes the Minnesota defensive front the Rams have to find a way to handle. So far this year, the Gophers haven't been good at one thing, but strong at everything.

Through two games, Minnesota is allowing less than 100 yards a game on the ground to opponents and have yet to yield to a rushing touchdown. When teams drop back, they haven't had much time as the Gophers have already accumulated six sacks after registering just 22 all of last season.

Friend wants his group to be more physical, and Saturday would be a good time to prove it to him.

"They better be ready to play physical, because this team's not going to give them much other choice," Friend said. "They're very good up front defensively, and they have a lot of guys that play for them. They've got speed off the edge, they've got size in the middle. It's going to be a big challenge for them, not to mention that these linebackers are athletic and do a great job."
