Larry Brown to SMU. He last coached in college in 1988 with KU. This will be his 14th HC job in college and the pros.

If true, SMU has the opportunity to change their fortunes in a big way when they join the Big East. There is a lot of money behind that program, now with a name-brand coach (and pretty good coach-in-waiting) they should get a lot from the Dallas market and prove to be formidable within 2-3 years in the Big East. Should be interesting to watch.

Jerrance Howard (nice call, Bleed)

Note the mention of former Illinois assistant Jerrance Howard as one of Brown's assistants. Bleed mentioned a little while ago that Howard was someone Tubby should pursue for his staff when Jirsa was discreetly looking into the Northland College job.
