First of all great game, more on that in a minute. Great day here in Disneyland, high of 80 today and very few people here for the holiday. I am sure that will change over the weekend. We met up with the charter group from Minnesota for Thanksgiving dinner. There were about 60 of us at McCormicks and Schmicks. We ended up sitting with Joel Maturi and his family. I didn't talk with him much, but I must say his wife, daughter and son in law were absolutely wonderful people. Had a great time with them at the meal and at the game. Did talk to Joel about the baseball stadium and things are looking good. Now the game. I apologize if I repeat some things that were already posted as I didn't take time to read all of the threads or if I ramble. Great start with Rodney hitting a three and then we never saw him again because of foul trouble. I usually don't get caught up with reffing, but they were terrible. By the end of the game Tubby was about as upset with the officials as I have ever seen him. The Gophers played a great team game, everyone contributed with 5 ending up in double figures. Iverson and Blake easily had their best games of the year. DJ is a stud, he is very confident right now. Tubby has talked about the team's chemistry and it is very eveident, very relaxed and confident. The team hung around talking to parents and fans for quite awhile after the game, they looked to be having a blast together. I thought Devoe looked very comfortable running the point. Iverson was possessed rebounding tonight, good to see. Great Minnesota crowd, was shocked how many made the trip. Met some fun Butler fans, they are passinate for their Bulldogs. I did take some pictures, will try to post when I get home. Looking forward to game 2.

Thanks for the report.

I agree with you about Devoe at the point - that might be the best I have seen him at PG. Once Nolen went to the bench I thought we would see more Cobbs at PG - but in the 2nd half Tubby stayed with D'vo thruout.

Can Cory Joseph play the 2? :)

Yes, Cory is a "combo" guard who can play 1 or 2.

Good post and yes, the reffing was terrible. The announcers came to the same conclusion the rest of us did last night.

BTW, I like Steve Lavin as the analyst.

Relatively speaking, Lavin is pretty good. There were the usual sycophantic comments (ad nauseam) about the coaches but at least he acknowledged the obvious about the referees. Most TV analysts wouldn't have even done that.
