TCF is so much better haha, but especially the open-end facing The Barn and downtown instead of an office building...

It is almost comical to look at that original rendering now. Thankfully they didn't stick to that exact concept. Changing the direction was huge, but I much prefer the stairs/ramps being enclosed in the stadium than having that giant cylindrical thing at the corner of the stadium.
The early rendering also appeared to not have open concourses. In addition, I recall reading recently (can't remember where) that the original design was to only have a brick wall on one side of the stadium with the rest of the structure exposed. That would have been cheap and tacky-looking.
Then again, with all that said, it still would've been better than the Dome.
