Reggie has 105 blocks this season with the BTT and NCAA games to go! John Shasky is currently in 10th place with 111 blocks, if Reggie gets his average in the guaranteed remaining two game he will pass him in one season! That's got to be a single season record!

Pretty awesome stuff!

An amazing season of blocks for Lynch, but this stat was not kept, at least by the NCAA, until the mid 1980s, so not quite as impressive as it seems.

Previous Gopher single season record - 87 by Randy Breuer.

What is the record number in program history? Gotta think with similar numbers next year Lynch has a shot

Breuer's school record of 89 blocks in a season was played during a 29 game season. Reggie had 95 after 29 games. I'm sure Breuer averaged more minutes per game than Reggie. I love Reggie Lynch and he's a feel good story - having dream of playing for the Gophers and despite not getting a schorship offer out of HS still was able to find himself as a Gopher. Got to admire the amount of Reggie's blocks that led to a turn over + points. Reggie keeps his emotions in check despite getting called for so many fouls. He's a selfless player that should a great leader for next year's 'dream team'
