Dean Johnson from the U of M Board of Regents was on with Sid Sunday morning.
Bullet points from the interview:

-Johnson was notified about Teague investigation last Saturday.
-Said resignation was probably best option, otherwise U would have had to "look at legalities" of situation.
-Expects there will be a search committee for new AD; said he has already received e-mails with suggestions, including Dan O'Brien, Beth Goetz and Alan Page!
-On Facilities, said he does not think Teague's resignation will have major impact on fund-raising. Said there are a lot of "asks" (his term) out there for donations.
-Said the regents might approve ground-breaking at September meeting, BUT it might have to wait until October meeting because they have not finalized issues with location of track. Said, "we have to do this right" the first time.
-If not in September, said he believes they will authorize ground-breaking at October meeting. Praised Jerry Kill for his efforts in fund-raising and promoting the project.

interesting how now that teague is gone, everyone seems to be coming out against him. Maybe this will be good for the facilities to get built.

if you want to get money from Minnesota companies or citizens i would guess a guy with local connections would be a better option than a guy from Virginia Commonwealth

The AD does a lot more than just raise money. Besides, I thought that was why we had Lou on the payroll. I don't care if the next AD comes from North Korea so long as he/she is the best person to run the athletic department.
