Just noticed Ryan James had tweeted-

Tubby will have several talented underclassmen MN hoopers at the Ohio State game tonight. Including Darrion Strong of Tartan

And also-

Also there will be Reggie Lynch from Bloom Jeff, Rashard Vaughan from Cooper, Ian Theissen of Osseo, Reed Travis from DeLaSzalle

No disrespected intended - are any of them future Gophers?

I just don't keep up on recruiting.

These are all Pump & Run players for '13 and '14. Some of them maybe but probably too early to know now.

If the Gophers have a big year this year, the interest from the in state recruits may jump significantly.

It's too bad to have them there in front of a half-empty stadium while we get blown out. Then again, it's probably still more impressive then the Dome.

The key to BB recruiting is bring the recruits to THE BARN when GopherLady leads the Barnyard in going bananas over Gopher Basketball.

Dave Mader of Appleton East was also at the game

Mader is a junior forward who played for the Randolph Boy's Club AAU program.

I think it's Sam Mader. Dave Mader played for Wisconsin in the early 2000's.

Sam Mader is the nephew of former Badger big man Dave Mader. Sam (6'8") is not as tall as Dave, but he is a much more versatile player. At this point, he's a combo forward who shoots it very well for a player his size.

UW has shown a little bit of interest in Sam, as has Marquette, but the Badgers only have one scholarship left for the 2012 class. After a couple down classes, the 2012 class in Wisconsin is pretty good with JP Tokoto, UW commit Sam Dekker, Junior Lomomba and Mader all looking like good forward prospects. There are a number of other kids who also look to be at least mid major type players.
