I constantly see opinions that, as soon as an SEC team targets one of our recruits they're gone, I disagree. You have to know a kids circumstances first, If you don't know, don't guess. A lot of kids will choose to leave the South, which still has a fairly rigid class based society, in some communities it's felt that you have to leave to get ahead. Other factors are intra regional rivalries, that are under publicized, but very real. It wasn't SEC territory, but when North Carolina offered Harbison, many here thought he was gone. I have family in the area and know that, the people in the Charlotte area, feel like they're taken for granted by the people in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area. That is the reason that many top players from the Charlotte area go to South Carolina or Clemson.
