Recruiting and "Be careful what you wish for..."

It sounds like a great idea to be a designated "Coach in Waiting". Job security X 2. Now the NCAA says that as for recruiting, it's the same as being a head coach:

That will be very easy to get around. They will tell the coach in waiting that he is, but will never say it on a formal basis.

Complete BS on the NCAA's part. What about the "associate head coaches" and "co-head coaches"? Besides, it's not like all the other 100+ schools can't do the same thing. There's nothing unfair about it because everyone else can do it. This effectively cuts off Muschamp's ability to recruit as much as his counterparts. Take away the title "coach in waiting" title and he'll still own everybody else in recruiting.

Lame.

It's amazing to me that the NCAA can get together to vote and pass this BS rule but it takes years for them to address the FACT that Reggie Bush got paid years ago.
