Teague was on KFAN a few days ago (h/t EG#9), and while there wasn't a ton of new stuff, I figured I'd provide a recap of what he said as it relates to college basketball. This is not verbatim, but close:

Teague on women’s chances of NCAA Tournament chances…Right now the women have a better chance than the men do. Everyone wants to see who is speculating on who’s in. More than anything we have to win some games. Richard and I were talking yesterday that one day you’re in and the next day you’re out. We just have to take care of business.

Teague on ESPN Bracketologists…They put out so many scenarios and then claim they were right on one of them.

Teague on if Gophers beat Penn State and win two in Big Ten Tournament…I do think one win in the Big Ten Tournament is enough. You never know. Even before the tournaments start this weekend they are pretty far down the road knowing what scenarios teams need.

Teague on the end of the big time classic college basketball gunner…I do remember those days. Jimmer may have been the last guy. Guys who do that stay three our four years and there aren’t as many doing that.

Teague on Oto’s injury…He has a nagging knee deal that will not go away. That’s part of why his playing time has decreased. He’d like to be a graduate assistant next year. We have a couple of options that will allow us to keep Oto around next year.

Teague on Pitino getting his own guys here…We talk about that a lot. He doesn’t have his personnel here, but it has been a whole lot better than I thought it would be. Billy Donovan likes to play a lot of guys, he likes his guys to average 19 minutes per game. Go out, get winded and come back out.

Go Gophers!!

Good stuff, Bleed.

I hope in the future our best players aren't playing only 19 minutes per game. That's not enough.

I appreciate both Norwood's and Richard's candor and willingness to share their thoughts. (It's what I've always appreciated about Terry Ryan as well.) They seem to genuinely want to inform and engage people.

Current Gator stats have leading scorer Casey Prather averaging 28 min/game, PG Scotty Wilekin at 34 and Mike Frazier at 30, so I think Billy Donovan is comfortable playing a lot of players...but the best are getting plenty of minutes. I want my stars on the court.

An update on fundraising for the $190 million practice facility would have made for a worthy topic.
