For those who are frustrated by being ranked only 18th in the AP right now...let's take a look back...

In this, week 13, we have not been in the top 25 since at least the '01-'02 season (that's as far back as I checked).

In fact, we haven't even received a freakin' VOTE in week 13 since the '04-'05 season when we received enough votes to be 30th in the AP (I know it's the top 25, but they still go beyond that).

So, 18th right now? I'll take it.

Good take. I for one could care less about where we are ranked. Let's just make sure we finish the season strong! We really need to take a step forward and win a game or two in the NCAA tourney this year.

frustration

I am not frustrated at our rankings. Considering our attrition I am thrilled to still be ranked.

We have lost two of our three best guards in Al and the other guy and we lost Mo who was providing excellent big-man freshmen minutes. Considering the current body count and the kind of results we have had along the way, with differing injuries and absences I think the team and Tubby are doing darn well.

I hope Tubby can continue along the same lines. The rankings will follow.
