Rashede Hageman is now a 4star on Scout.com
I wonder if any of our players have a chance of moving up?
Must have had a killer week of practice
I think it is interesting to say the least that guys ratings can change so much after the season is over merely by playing in one more all-star game or in some instances not playing a single down since the season ended, yet they somehow become a better player.
well he has been doing this the longest and is considered one of the best if not the best recruiting expert out there
It's Notre Dame and Tim Brewster. Ron Zook ain't far behind.
callahan actually brought in alot of talented, highly recruited players but he couldnt get them to play up to their potential
You have to question how talented the recruits were however when none of them every developed. The star QB he brought in finished his career this year as a 3rd string QB at NC state and the star RB lost his starting job early this year. That is why I take these rankings with a grain of salt especially in regards to Tom Lemming and his friends. I think his friendship with Callahan may have contributed to these busts being ranked a lot higher than they should have.
Tom Lemming, an ESPN recruiting analyst and longtime friend of Callahan, said Nebraska would be getting a "great offensive mind" if Callahan indeed is Nebraska's next coach. Lemming added that Callahan has a keen eye for talent, communicates well with young players and is a tireless worker.
"He's relentless," Lemming said. "Within two or three years, I think Nebraska will be a powerhouse offensively. Anybody who saw the Raiders in 2002, that's Callahan to a `T'."
Colorado coach Gary Barnett charged in the Denver Post that Lemming had encouraged recruits to take visits to Nebraska, where Bill Callahan is the head coach.
Lemming denies that but can't deny he and Callahan, who grew up two years apart on Chicago's South Side, are friends.
Callahan was the featured speaker last year at Lemming's annual Prep Football Banquet, and Lemming ranked Callahan's 2005 recruiting class the nation's best. (Rivals.com ranked Nebraska fifth; SuperPrep had the Cornhuskers 10th.)

Regardless of how Callahan's recruiting classes turned out, Brewster's first real class last year performed fairly well on the field this year.
Question about Callahan: Did he have any prior college coaching experience before going to Nebraska? If not, I'm not sure how Lemming was able to say Callahan had a good eye for talent.
