This week's AP poll: Gophers have 6 votes (essentially ranked #32).

This week's Coaches poll: Gophers have 1 vote.

Today's RPI: Gophers are #6 in the nation.
--They're 3-1 vs the Top 100 (L #23 FSU, W #25 Arkansas, W #42 UT Arlington, W #73 Vandy)
--SOS so far is #47. Not too shabby, all things considered.
--The next highest B1G team is Maryland, at #20.

Weird how Florida State is ranked in both polls, has the same record as the Gophers, is 6-1 against the Top 100 and sits #23 in the RPI. Just goes to show how little the RPI really matters this time of year.

The fact that Arkansas continues to be ahead of us in the coaches poll is ridiculous. They clearly don't pay much attention until conference season starts, or more accurately, their SIDs don't.

The Gophers are better than Sparty at this point, of that I am certain, but let's not kid ourselves. If the Gophers played the same non-conference schedule as MSU, would probably have the same record (at best 1 more win).
