Ranking this year's team...

Where do you think this year's team ranks among the best/worst this decade? Thought it would be an interesting question to pose since we're entering 2010.

Certainly not worse than '07 ... and '06 will never be forgotten for the T. Tech loss. Certainly this year's offense will always be remembered for the wrong reasons.

i would have to say that this team was the 2nd worst gopher team of the decade. the team that i feel is worse is the 1-11 team of 2 years ago.
i just had a lot of optimism going into this season....that went down the toilet quickly after watching our team perform on the field

Here would be my ranking:

1: 2003 - 10-wins & a final ranking
2. 2002 - 8 wins and a victory over #25 Arkansas
3. 2005 - 4 conf wins including a W over Michigan and beating (overrated) #11 Purdue
4. 2004 - Bowl win over Alabama and a few blowouts inc. 45-0 over Illinois
5. 2000 - 4-4 BT record inc. over #8 Ohio St (loss to Ohio U???)
6. 2006 - TTech meltdown, but there was finishing with 3 BT wins inc. Iowa.
7. 2009 - Putrid offense. Never won convincingly.
8. 2008 - 5 game swoon to end the year incl. 0-55 vs Iowa.
9. 2001 - 2-6 BT record. No bowl.
10. 2007. 1-11. Loss to NDSU.

You bring up the win over Purdue, and while they may have been overrated, it's the Gophers only win over a ranked opponent in their last 18 or 19 (might be 20 or 21) vs. top-25 teams.
