Series history: Minnesota leads series 3-1
Explanation: The Golden Gophers haven't beaten the elite teams under P.J. Fleck, but they have a good track record against everybody else. Fleck is 1-9 against Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State, but 33-27 against the rest of the conference. The Gophers nearly upset the Nittany Lions this year and held wins over USC and Illinois (both ranked at the time of their games). We'll see what the 2025 version of Minnesota will look like, but the Gophers have been very solid under Fleck with bowl appearances in six of the last seven seasons. This game is part of a tough month of November which features games at Iowa and Washington and at home against USC as well.
