I had to laugh at his post-game comments and I mean really laugh. He says a friend once told him, "it's better to die on your feet than live on your knees." It's football for crying out loud, not a battle for world supremacy against a race of super-robots. It's chuckleheads like this who make me think the world is coming to an end.

Maybe he should have quoted his friend who told him to mix in a salad once in awhile instead.

It's interesting to see how the coaches who know they're gone handle the last press conference. Mangino gave his quotes. Al Groh read the media a poem. I haven't seen Weis's yet.

OT-I was at the UVa game today. It was 50% VT fans, and once the game was out of hand they started chanting 'Keep Al Groh.' I actually felt bad for him. To be mocked that way in your own stadium is not fair. His tenure was still a pretty good one overall, and if he hadn't had a recruitng class in 2005 basically gutted by UVa's admissions Dept, they wouldn't be running him out of town.
