I am about to start conducting interviews with some of the newest members of the Golden Gopher Football Family and was wondering if there are any specific questions any of you would like to be asked of them. The players I will be interviewing are as follows:

Tyler Hartmann
Lincoln Plsek
Andre McDonald
Damarius Travis
Eric Murray
Yoshoub Timms
Ben Holcomb
KJ Maye
Roland Johnson
Alex Keith

so long as the questions are deemed appropriate by my superiors I will ask the players the questions you post.

What do you think of the new uniforms? What number will you be wearing this fall? What do you hope to accomplish this year?

What were the factors that led you to choose the U of M over other schools you could have attended?

Do you know the difference between a walleye and a sauger?

Jordan Hinojosa

Pig Man - Looking forward to your interview with Jordan Hinojosa. Will it be in 2013 or 2014 when he becomes a Gopher possibly? If you do happen to interview him sooner find out what is going on and how he and Dorothy ended up in Kansas.

whoops, I meant to omit his name from the list. I will ask if I can still interview him and see what the situation is but I doubt it. Sorry for the misinformation.

Appreciate the work Pig. Any reason why players like Rodrick Williams and Jamel Harbison are omitted?

they aren't omitted, it's just that one of my coworkers is doing those interviews.

Ask them what degree they intend to pursue, what kind of career they see themselves in, and how they plan to stay up on the academic side of college.

1. Where do you see the team in 2 years?
2. Why should fans go to the game this season?
3. How do you handle criticism from fans?
4. What do you do to keep motivated?
5. Was the University of Minnesota your first choice?
6. How will you gain the trust of your teammates?
7. What is more important to you? Playing time? Or Winning?
8. Who is your favorite professional football player?
9. What do you do the night before a big game?
10. What part of your game do you need the most improvement on?

Do you use social media? If so where do you draw the line between what is appropriate or inappropriate for recruits or players to post?

Something about what they are most excited for at the U. Try to get something other than the basic "go to the Rose Bowl or win the Big 10..."

What has surprised you the most about the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis/St. Paul area?

What position will you be playing?
What do you think is your best position?

Eric Murray: How bad do you want to beat the badgers and will you have an extra chip on your shoulder when playing against them since they didn't offer you a scholarship?

andre- what was the biggest hurdle for you to overcome in choosing a school

I should mention that if anyone has a question for a specific athlete that is not in my list (and is not one of the ones we've already done, I.E. early enrollees and Isaac Hayes) you can post it and I will pass it on to the person who will be interviewing them.

Ask Jamel Harbison what our chances are with Marquez North.

You forgot to ask an important question. Did goofball "PantherHawk" want to be Facebook friends?

That would be a very interesting question to ask. If he did contact them it would be interesting to hear what they thought about it.

What other schools were your finalists and what made you choose the U over those schools? What intrigued you about those schools?
