As I mentioned in this week's GopherHole Sports Huddle Summary, the questions for coach Kill, for the most part, were repeats from previous weeks. Of course, since it's summer there isn't a lot of news related to Gopher football and won't be until fall camp.

Nevertheless, if you have a question that is new and you think would be of interest to the listening audience, please post your query here. Maybe Dave Mona will pick it up and ask your question of coach Kill.

Thanks,

Go Gophers!!

Here's a question that's bugged me. How long will it take to straighten out the class size issues that Kill inherited?

How about having coach Limegrover on one week and coach Claeys the next.

Does coach Limegrover plan to run the Maryland I during the regular season.

How many different formations would ML like to run? How many formations will the team be able to run well by the start of the season?

The defense seems to be very aggressive - not a read and react defense. What is the key to stopping the run with this kind of defense? Do you almost need two defenses - one for the spread teams like Northwestern and Purdue and one for the running teams like Michigan State, Wisconsin, Neb?

How is Devon Wright healing up? Will he have a chance to play at receiver this year?

Honestly, I would have no problem with Kill skipping a few weeks during the summer. As suggested above, have the coordinators or a position coach come on; or have the strength and conditioning coach on as a guest.

As far as questions: How has the internet changed recruiting? (i.e. - If Coach visits player X, or player Y makes an official visit, it gets posted immediately on blogs, websites, Twitter, etc. Does that change the way the coach approaches recruiting?

Does Coach Kill have any rules for athletes using Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, etc)? And/or - Does the Coaching staff monitor what players are posting on Social Media?

I have a question for Sid. Since, I am 43 could you please reflect upon the late great Bernie Beirman's Minnesota legacy? Would he still be a great coach in today's coaching world? Does coach Killl have any of his characteristics?

When planning for the season, do you run basic plays looking keep your counters from film? And is there any sense in running gadget plays in the non conference games?

Is there any help from the U Engineering Computer Science Department in opponent tendencies, our tendencies against teams? Film broken down to computer analysis?

With two fullbacks on the roster, will we seen more I formation?

1. Since you are seeing kids at camp right now, could you help us understand what you look for in a 16 year old that tells you he will be able to contribute to the team as a 20 year old? What do you look for in an O-lineman (Measurables, feet, strength, technique) D-lineman, WR, RB, etc.

2. Winning consistently in the Big Ten requires elite talent at skill positions. When do you see us turning the corner to bring more of those top 100 game breakers to MN? What do we need to do to get there? How does your coaching staff approach these players?

3. Would you like to see MN High Schools start playing spring football? It seems to me that hockey, basketball, Soccer & baseball are all played in multiple seasons through various leagues, but football doesn't have that. How much of a disadvantage are MN high school players at compared to states with spring practices?

4.

i'd like sid to ask kill how the 4 guys who came here in January are adjusting to their first summer here. how is their June going.

I would like to know what Jerry Kill remembers about Byron Gettis. Gettis originally had agreed on accepting a scholarship offer to Minnesota during the Glen Mason era. He never signed, and instead signed with the Kansas City Royals. With limited success, he went back to football, and played for Southern Illinois University, actually starting some games at tight end for the Saluki's in 2007.

I asked this on the forum a week or two ago, but nobody really knows the answer.

Who is the biggest hitter on the defense? On the offense?
