Why do we still have jump circles at the head of the key when the rare actual jump is always at center court? Tradition or something?

Ya just never know when BB will go back to jump balls on tie ups instead of alternating possessions. Some things never will change, just like HS BB courts are 84 X 50, College and Pro BB courts are 94 X 50. It just is.
