I will be attending homecoming game against Northwestern. I have been to pregames at Mac for basketball but not for football.

Questions:
1. Will it be totally overcrowded and crazy?
2. Is it a good idea to plan on pregame meal there; is it good and/or speedy?

Any other comments?

Thanks in advance.

Nah - it won't be overcrowed. Biggest crowds I saw there were for the Air Force game, and it wasn't bad. We were able to get a wristband and a couple beers in under 5 minutes.

I'd pregame meal somewhere in Stadium Village though, and then swing by the Mac for a post-meal, pre-game brew or two.

I enjoy going there post-game to watch the other games for a bit, pretty fun atmosphere (especially if we win)

Looks like the MAC will not be open during and after fb games this year. Since I've done the Stadium Village thing enough times, it looks as though the MAC might be the way to go. Now if Station 19 reopened as Station 19, then Station 19 would have to go there.

Thanks for the comments. Any others?

Where'd you see that? That was my group's post game meet up spot.

Yep, just another boneheaded move by the U to eliminate the last vestiges of fun surrounding a college football Saturday, which YES will ALWAYS involve drinking/partying and there is simply NOTHING you can do about it (U administration and neighborhood groups). Plaza only open 3 hours prior to kick-off. Dunzo once game starts.
