Question on number of practices

Currently the Gophers have had 13 practices to prepare for their bowl game. I'm gathering from this they are allowed two more in Detroit. Is this correct, or can they have 15 at home prior to arriving in Detroit?

I think I heard on the canned Sid interview with Coach this AM that 13 was it.

Pretty sure GT had 10.

I had to ask this as yes Coach said 13 while another report said they had 15 practices. I'm thinking that coach is correct and then you get two more at the bowl game. GT clearly scaled it back at 10, however perhaps not so critical with their team make up.

It is 20 hours per week between end of regular season and the bowl game. How they slice it is up to the staff.

Maybe they scaled it back due to the coaching change too.

It's my understanding also that Tech scaled back with the new regime coming in. More focus on the upperclassmen than younger players because likely a new system coming on board. Plus I think Coach Johnson wanted it a little more relaxed on his way out.

No doubt what GT will plan on doing...run the ball. If they add a wrinkle it will be more passing than 10 attempts a game...maybe up to 20...which could be huge if we're not able to react.
