Of course lots has been made about how well the B10 will stack up against the glamour divisions (BigE and ACC) – or vice versa.
Only Wisky and Mich take on teams from those divisions in the first round. Potentially in the second round, the B10 could have three more matchups (OSU, MSU and UofM).
Could someone on the board who would know, help me understand what will be the impact of the specific referee sets assigned to those interconference games? Do referees in general (or specifically) understand or appreciate or otherwise call the game in a way that will be advantageous to the playing style of a particular conference? Is there anything that I should watch for early on to indicate this? How are B10 coaches adjusting their game plan, etc?
Not looking for a “Blame the Refs” rant. Just want to be able to integrate this into my viewing of the games.
Thanks all
