Nice win today and it was great to see the Gophers REALLY play well in the second half to pull out the win, however....

I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to give Purdue a whole lot of credit just yet. Starting to look a lot like Kevin Wilson's Indiana teams; not too bad on offense, still abysmal on defense.

In 4 games, Purdue hasn't held a B1G team under 420 yards of total offense, repeatedly can't come up with stops. Not good on defense.

I don't know how much the coaches will say in the post game press conferences but I'd bet anything, with this being only the 3rd start or so for Appleby, that the Boilers came out with a NUMBER of different looks that they haven't shown up to this point in the season.

Props to the Gophers defense; by my rough calculation, they held Purdue to 132 yards of total offense after halftime. According to my rough estimate, I also got Purdue as being 1-for-6 on 3rd down conversions in the 2nd half. This staff continues to impress me with their halftime adjustments. On the flip side, I come up with 270 yards of offense for the Gophers after halftime. THAT is an impressive 2nd half turnaround.
