WEST LAFAYETTE - Two days after announcing his commitment to Purdue, graduate transfer offensive lineman T.J. Storment changed his mind.

Storment announced on social media he's transferring to Texas Christian instead of joining the Boilermakers. He had deleted his Purdue commitment announcement on Twitter earlier Saturday.

Storment is a graduate transfer from Colorado State and will eligible immediately. He was scheduled to start classes at Purdue on Monday but now will attend TCU.

The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Storment is from North Carolina and attended Old Dominion for two years. He transferred to Fullerton College before landing at Colorado State.

Storment's decision leaves the Boilermakers in the same position at the end of the 2019 season - in need of a graduate transfer on the offensive line. Indiana's Coy Cronk is available after entering the transfer portal last week but the Central Catholic graduate hasn't announced his future plans.

And so it begins for the Boilermakers. They have done a great job recruiting the dream but now it will come down to wins for them to continue. I fully expect the Gophers to outrecruit them this year.

CSU fired Bobo, so some other transfers as well. Nebraska grabbed a guard who started as a frosh this year.

By this year, do you mean 2021?

And so it begins? The dude was a Purdue commit for 2 days. I seem to recall a MN recruit or two decommit as well - the beginning of the end?

It can throw you off when a young kid changes their mind like that. Last year about this time Coach Ciarroca did something very similar. He called PJ telling him he was going to take a lateral position at West Virginia (I believe it was WV). He then called him back at 3 in the morning telling him he was staying. I guess any of us can do it in the right situation.

Haven't really looked into Purdue's roster much but are they really that desperate along the line that they need a grad transfer for 2020? I know they lost a number of guys heading into 2019 so maybe they are still waiting on some guys to mature along the line.

I expect Purdue to take a step forward next year. I think they would have been far better this year but the injury bug bit hard. I'm assuming that won't hit them two seasons in a row.
