Purdue certainly could use help in the backcourt. I don't think Octeus is going to cure all of their guard problems, actually he seems to be more of a wing who is good at drawing fouls, doesn't really set up teammates, but he should make them a bit better. One big problem for Purdue this year is in the B1G you have to have a backcourt that controls the ball, is able to set up teammates but not turn it over much, and I very seriously doubt they will be able to have that type of backcourt. Octeus certainly did not have a particularly strong assist rate at CSU.

I didn't see them as a top-8 B1G team (and thus NCAA team) before. I don't know that a guy like Octeus is going to get them there. He'll make them a little bit tougher to beat though.
