I get that this guy is a homer for his team (who isn't), but to give them the edge in Special Teams after our performance last week? I don't think so.

Snippet:

Special teams

Punt coverage remains strong and Paul Griggs has made six of his last seven field goals. The kickoff coverage team will be tested, especially after Jalen Myrick‘s 100-yard return provided the go-ahead score against Northwestern. The Gophers lead the Big Ten and rank third nationally, averaging 28.6 yards. They also have a blocked punt returned for a score. The Boilermakers, though, have been solid in this area most of the season. Edge: Purdue

Prediction

It would disappointing to see regression after last week’s battle with Michigan State, but slowing down the run and avoiding turnovers are the two keys for the Boilermakers. Win those categories and another road victory isn’t out of the question. If the Gophers are able to control the clock and capitalize on mistakes, it will be a long afternoon. Minnesota can see a 4-0 start in Big Ten play with Illinois up next, but that’s when surprises happen. Purdue 25, Minnesota 22

He doesn't give much reason to favor Purdue, aside from making 6 of the last 7 field goals, and vaguely saying the Boilermakers have been "solid".

Saying that a road victory is "not out of the question" doesn't generally mean predicting a win, and even that is dependent on slowing down the run and avoiding turnovers.

I always love the mantra "our best "WIN" was a loss" statements. I remember when we used to live in those days. Good ol' Timmy Jam.

+1 Glad those days are in the past (at least for now).

Yes, he did. But so what? I wasn't addressing that, I'm well aware that he predicted a win. My point was to say that a victory was "Not out of the question" doesn't generally go with predicting a win. To day that something is not out of the question is to say it possible, but not terribly likely.

Did not realize that they legalized marijuana in Indiana.
