Purdue football coach Jeff Brohm’s on-field success has been rewarded.
On Thursday, Purdue’s Board of Trustees approved an amended contract for the second-year football coach. The new two-year extension runs through 2024 for a total of $29 million, including base pay and stipends.
When Brohm was hired in December 2016, he signed a six-year deal through 2022 that paid $3.33 million annually ($300,000 base, plus $3.03 million supplemental stipend). The original deal did not include any built-in raises.
Under the new seven-year deal, Brohm is set to make $3,800,000 in 2018 ($300,000 base and $3.5 million supplemental). The salary will increase by $100,000 each year from 2018 to 2021. In 2022, the salary will jump $200,000 to $4.3 million.
