Puerto Rico -- Scores

This Nebraska-Vanderbilt game is AWFUL. Nebraska may as well come in and be at the absolute bottom of the Big Ten (above Iowa of course). Their Center, Almeida (?), looks like a 6' 10" John Daly

Exactly. Vandy and Nebraska look terrible. Also WV didnt look very good either besides Truck. No doubt in my mind the champion of this tourny will come out of the our side of the bracket. Nebraska is a trailer park Northwestern

Except Nebraska's "N" stands for Knowledge.

I know they supposedly didn't seed this, but if they did, we got a bit of the short end of the stick. If seeded, it should probably be:

WVU
NC
MN
WKU
Vandy
Davidson
Nebraska
Hoffstra

Skinny John or Fat John?

UNC, expectedly, is jumping all over Hofstra. 20-12 about 7 minutes in, Barnes with 8 early points.

Which leads to one of my pet peeves. Other than geographic proximity, why was Nebraska invited to join the B10? It's a fading football power, it will do nothing for the conference in hoops and it certainly won't add to the B10's the academic reputation.

"Fading" football power is subjective. They've had some bad, by Nebraska standards, years lately but since Pelini became the coach they're 28-9 (.757). And they're still filling up their 81,000 seat stadium with much regularity. I'd say they're much much closer to being a (re-)rising football power than they are to being a fading one. Time will tell if that holds on in the Big Ten.

I agree with the hoops and academic sentiments.

UNC all over Hofstra at half, 58-33. Barnes with 19 points.

wow Unc hit the century mark with 3:45 left in the game. Just running all over Hofstra.
