Propositional football. What is it?
If A, then B. If B, then C. And so on.
Architecturally, this works. And from a "master plan" point of view, this is sound. As a matter of fact, it means you have a master plan. There is one problem. If "A" never occurs, the entire thing is derailed.
So, if "A" is dependent on Mo, and if Mo doesn't play, then you're out of luck, because the dependency chain is short-circuited.
The Gophers are very disciplined. Very deep, meaning lots of disciplined players who are "good." This is a formula for a lot of success. But, the Gophers don't have high-end talent that can enjoy success no matter what the game situation is. So if "A" doesn't happen...
This team is constituted to have a lot of success. But its success is precarious. Everything is contingent. That's how you do it when you have no high-end talent.
That's propositional football.
