Big Day for the Gopher Seniors Tuesday! I know Dom Alford is planning to work out, would love to see him work out well and get a camp invite after the guts he showed playing hurt this year. I am sure Adam Weber will be throwing for scouts and hoping to get to a camp as well. Big Jeff Wills might have the best chance, but I think he might be limited to just Right Tackle in the pros. If he can convince some team that he could also play guard he might have a shot to get drafted late.
 

From what I'm hearing, all Adam, Jeff and Dom are all locks to be invited to camps.
 

Hoese and Theret are participating today as well.
 

Doogie just tweeted that Rick Spielman (Vikes VP of Player Personnel) is at the Gophs pro day.
 


Hoese did 25 reps on the bench

Next best bench was Tommy Becker who did 24(yes former Gopher), those two might have gotten noticed enough to catch the attention of enough scouts and might actually make a fall camp invite now. Weber threw well from what I understand and there are at least 3 teams that like him. Dom Alford did 21 that might get him in the park to get a shot at a camp invite. Not likely any will get drafted but there will be some UFA guy's out of the group. We will not talk about what Wills benched he better be able to get by on his feet and ability to move for a big guy.

Jeff if over 6'8 with extremely long arms. Tall guys seldom do a ton of reps. I was pleasantly surpised how cut up he was. His arms were huge.

Adam looked to have dropped 10lbs and didn't have an ounce of fat on him. Theret was really put together also. Dom ran extremely well for a big dude....he was really motoring.

And no I'm not giving times, measurments or any other specifics (lol), I will leave that to the professionals.
 

Results

How soon (if ever) can we officially hear all the measurable results and other analysis on the pro-day. The paper tomorrow?

Do you think Wills will make it in the NFL? He moves really well for a big man and has really good feet, but the scouts will question his strength. I know an agent named Jeff from the Tampa area that seems to think Wills has what it takes to play in the league, I had my doubts last year but this year he look's like he really actually has a shot. Is it true that Theret had the best vertical leap today, a little surprised by that?

Giants are supposedly one of the teams that really likes Adam Weber, would be a good spot for him learning from one of the Mannings like he already has maybe Eli is touting him.

Adam is the one I know who had the Spud Web like vertical.

Teams look at how far Jeff has come in so short a period of time, plus the rap on Jeff is he is not afraid hard work. I'm sure there is a team who won't mind having a 6'8, 350lb player on the practice squad.
