I've not been a fan of prexy b for a long time. However, I do want to thank him for not succumbing to the call from Reusse, other media types and reactionary fans to hire the controversial and out of control former TT football coach. The wannabe pirate, full time loose cannon would only have disgraced the University of Minnesota's reputation and would have even cast a bad light upon the Big Ten Conference. Every Big Ten Program would have had to put up with the antics of some sanity challenged ego maniac. It would have rewarded outrageous behavior and I can not possibly see any way that such a hire would have ended happily.
So, Prexy B: as a lame duck you could have fallen to any temptation to "people please" a small minority of fans and media people who made much noise and commotion calling for the unthinkable and unpardonable act of hiring a part-time pseudo-pirate-wanna-be/full-time loose cannon who just LOVES to go to court. For your action speaking louder than the words of Reusse and other media-types who only would have written stories scorning you, the U of M, the Football Program and Big Ten Football Programs if you had made their"... hire of choice",you have certainly risen in my regard. I realize how I feel about you and the choices you have directed your athletic director to make means nothing. However, in my personal appreciation of your good common sense and demonstrated sense of responsibility in this matter, I am referring to you, from this moment forward, as Prexy B...no longer prexy b. Not hiring Leach was a VERY good thing Prexy B! Thank you.
