I'm surprised to see wisconsin on the outside looking in.

I'm surprised to see wisconsin on the outside looking in.

I suspect some voters look at these as these as sort of prediction polls, that combined with expectations that Wisc will decline (granted that's always the case and it doesn't happen) and their crazy schedule... I think a fair number of folks expect they're in for a rough ride.

Still they should be in there somewhere at this point.

For a minute I thought Illinois got a vote. Northern makes a lot more sense.

Interested to see Washington St. this year. Could be a very interesting team.

Well it is diappointing that we did show up in the "others receiving votes" pileup.

Indiana got a vote, which is almost as surprising.

Probably some IU rube. Didn't Sid use to always give us a vote back in the day. WKU, App St, Marshall, N Ill, Memphis, Toledo, USF,, SDSU, you throw any of those three on are non con slate I would fully expect to go 3-0

Houston, Iowa and Baylor jump out at me. I think Houston might be there but think Iowa is overrated and the beat down by Stanford is a reality check of the hogeye's true prowess. Hopefully there is no way that cesspool they call Baylor finishes in the top 25. I think Baylor is about to take a big nosedive even in a weak conference like the not so big 12.

Stanford is underrated. McCaffrey is a special player and matchup nightmare.
Michigan is overrated until proven otherwise.
OTOH MSU is underrated, again.
Iowa will be lucky to finish in the top 25.
Wisconsin finished 8-6 the last time they had a schedule ranked 30th in difficulty. This year they have amongst the toughest schedules, no proven QB. They will be fortunate to finish the year above .500.

I hate to defend Iowa, but they play a comparable schedule to the Gophers other than getting Michigan over Maryland. Plus they have the best QB in the B1G West. The West should come down to the Gophers or Iowa.

I'm not surprised that Wisconsin is on the outside. They benefitted from a weak schedule last year and lost quite a bit from last years team.

I hear you. Really hard to predict how Iowa or MN will do this season. Either team could have 5 wins or 10 wins. Iowa will need to finish the regular season 8-4 or better to make the top 25. Iowa lost a fair amount off their offense but an above average QB like Beathard makes them better. Their defense will probably be respectable.

That said, I'm hearing far too much respect for Wisconsin and Iowa on this board. Made-up hatred is the lifeblood of any border rivalry. Let's get with the program.

Mangle the Badgers by 50 points and put up at least 2 Two-Point conversions in the Fourth Quarter.

I think Clemson is too high considering they lost 7 defensive players to the draft.
