8. Northwestern - NIT or some other postseason tourney
9. Penn St
10. Indiana

1. Purdue (Elite Eight)
-Most annoying team because they are so talented and now, experienced.
2. Michigan State (Elite Eight)
-People are making too big a deal of Suton being gone. What happenes if Morgan bounces back?...look out
3. Illinois (NCAA)
-Deep team that hangs hat on defense. Also, good recruiting class.
4. Ohio State (NCAA)
-They have the best player in the league and David Lighty returns at the point. Awesome starting 5.
5. Michigan (NCAA)
-Getting better every year. Harris is All-American-type and he has a good supporting cast with a solid freshman unit.
6. GOPHERS (NCAA)
-Great depth, good defenders, best freshman in Big Ten. Could sneak into top 4/5 if they can upset a few teams on the road.
7. Wisconsin (NIT)
-Just not enough athletes to compete with the big boys this year. They will spring some upsets and be competitive though.
8. Northwestern (NIT)
-Program has best players it probably has ever had; Problem is, so does everyone else in the Big Ten.
9. Penn State (NIT)
-Too much pressure will be placed on Battle. Not enough on the bench or on the blocks.
10. Indiana
-Better than last season, for sure.
11. Iowa
-Good shooters, but decimated by loss of transfers.
