Pre Season Bowl Projections

College Football News has Minnesota playing North Carolina in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 29, 2022.

Athlon Sports has Minnesota playing Central Michigan in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26, 2022.

The Game Haus has Minnesota playing Ohio in the Quick Lane Bowl on Dec. 26, 2022.

If any of those predictions are correct, it will be a big disappointment for knowledgeable Gopher fans.

Athlon is the most consistent at putting out the absolute worst predictions. I kind of respect it to be honest.

I am really confident the gophers will get 6 wins

I am really confident the following teams won’t get 6:
Indiana
Illinois
Northwestern

I think the following teams will struggle to get 6 but could make it:
Nebraska
Maryland
Rutgers

Basically I see 8th as the floor for the gophers. Unless the big ten only gets one in the New Years 6, I don’t see Detroit this year. It will go to one of the Maryland, Rutgers, Nebraska trio or won’t be filled at all (like the big ten couldn’t fill it last year)
