I read that Wisconsin is moving their RT to LT for next year. Is it the practice of many teams to start RS FR or Soph. at RT and then move them to LT for JR and SR year? I know there are many variables in the mix.

Granted you should have your best five starting.

In a perfect world, Wagner would have sat last year behind Carimi and started at left tackle in 2011. However, due to under performance and eventual season ending surgery to the right tackle, Wagner was moved to the right side as the next man in. He played so well there that they had no reservations at all about moving him to the left. It all worked out in the end.

I think the key is getting your best 5 on the field and then worry about position. If your back up left tackle is much better then your right tackle, why would you have him on the bench? Versatility is important as the inevitable injuries occur.
