A really powerful and well done in-depth piece on the life that legendary UNC coach Dean Smith faces on a daily basis as he lives with Dementia, a horrible disease that impacts way too many people, and the toll it takes on family and friends.

Wow. I'd heard Smith wasn't in good health, but I didn't know it was Dementia. No one or no family should have to go through that.

As a student at the U for undergrad who's now at UNC for grad school, I can say there were students crying in the lunch hall over this story. Great article, Dean Smith was an absolute class act
